Reflection: Listen

Reflection:

You might have heard it said that the hills are alive with the sound of music. Or perhaps you’ve heard it said that the rocks will cry out. Or maybe still you have been instructed to listen for the silence and stillness between all things, the thin moments. This Holy Week as we recount of the final days of Christ leading to his execution, all of these can be hard to hear. As life streams by with worries ranging from the individual to the global, as time flashes past us and we are swept up in work, family, friends, and routines – know that the hills are alive with the sound of music, the rocks do cry out, and there is something being said in the thin moments. Divinity permeates all – moss, flower, tree, leaf, and you. In all of these the hope of the resurrection is carried forth.
