2022 Volunteering Opportunities

In general, Camp Walter Scott offers four work-days each year, two in the spring and two in the fall. The general format of these work-days is to have two complimentary meals provided by the campgrounds. A continental breakfast at 8:00AM with work following afterwards and lunch served around 12:30PM with work following again. We offer for volunteers to stay the night before or after the workdays as needed (lodging is on a first come, first serve basis). Thank you in advance for your willingness to serve!

You can also let us know you’re planning on attending a workday by contacting our Camp Host, Clayton Summers. You can reach him for a call or text on his cell (618) 262-3065, a call on the camp phone (501) 570-6685, or an email to [email protected].

The Camp Acts service week camp is a week of working on projects at the campground. These vary from year to year and depend on what has been accomplished at previous workdays, but you can expect a need for electrical, plumbing, painting, and general handyperson skills. If you don’t possess these skills, this is a great opportunity for you to bring your willing attitude and let someone who is experienced in these areas help show you the ropes!

Groups and individuals who are interested in coming for all or part of the week should contact our Camp Host, Clayton Summers. You can reach him for a call or text on his cell (618) 262-3065, a call on the camp phone (501) 570-6685, or an email to [email protected].
