Howdy! My name is Libby West and I will be co-directing You and Me and JYF camps this year.
I came to Walter Scott as a new counselor 39 years ago!! I met my husband that week! My (now adult) children came as campers and my grandchildren are continuing that wonderful legacy! Young people have always had my heart, as a school recess monitor to being Director of Youth and Family Ministries at a local church! I have so many wonderful memories! One time I brought 50 foot solar balloons and the turkey vultures tried to dive bomb them! 😂 Having the children of former campers come to camp has been a special blessing. To have been able to watch kids really connect to Jesus is beyond glorious! So come to You and Me camp or JYF this year!! Ben Kersey, Gwen Peebles and I can’t wait to see you!!

By day I teach elementary music in Bloomington. By night I am Cat Mom to Phoebe and Farrah. I love hiking, playing piano, singing, yard work, and spending time with family. I’ve been married to my husband Joe for 33 years and we are service musicians at Centennial Christian Church, Bloomington.
Directing church camp is one of my passions. I can share my love of the Lord with children and youth. Together we experience God in new and creative ways.
One of my favorite memories of camp, is from CYF camp. A group of us were star gazing on the dock. And we spontaneously broke into song, praising God for His indescribable creation.
I am looking forward to a week full of laughter, singing, praying, nature, goats, and relationship building.
