Throughout the history of CCIW’s Outdoor Ministries, the safety and well-being of our campers have been of utmost concern. To assure this, policies are in place regarding qualifications for staff members as background checks are conducted annually. Valuing our campers, we also value the gifts and talents of those who volunteer to serve with our campers. In keeping with this, we welcome the gifts of all regardless of race, color, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, transgender status, age, or disability.

Family Camping '26 (All Ages)

Family camping is a time for being with friends, family, and God’s Creation. The structure is much looser than our other camp offerings; you can stay for part or all of the weekend and you are responsible for your own meals (firewood and rings provided). This is a wonderful time to bring out the entire family to Walter Scott for relaxation and reset in God’s Creation!

Dates

Family Camping is offered twice each year, Memorial Day Weekend and Labor Day Weekend.

Memorial Day Weekend Family Camping will run Friday, May 22, 2026 through Monday, May 25, 2026.

Labor Day Weekend Family Camping will run Friday, September 4, 2026 through Monday, September 7, 2026.

Ages

Family Camp is open to all ages and family however you define it! Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Cost

Family camp costs $10 per family plus $20/person/night for indoor lodging and $10/person/night for outdoor lodging.

Service Week

The Camp Service Week or Handyperson Skills Camp is a week of working on projects at the campground. These vary from year to year and depend on what has been accomplished at previous workdays, but you can expect a need for electrical, plumbing, painting, and general handyperson skills. If you don’t possess these skills, this is a great opportunity for you to bring your willing attitude and let someone who is experienced in these areas help show you the ropes!

Dates

The service week runs from 4PM on Sunday, May 31, 2026 through 10AM on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Come for all or part of the week as you’re able!

Ages

All ages are welcome but anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian or an adult sponsor.

Cost

Free! You’re volunteering your time, energy, and expertise or willingness to learn. Housing and food are on us at the camp!
