Reflection:
Ubi Caritas, ibi ecclesia. Or in English, where love is, there is the church. The Creator’s love is sewn into the fabric of the world in which we reside. We often find it in people (and rightfully so), but love is also strewn into the living tapestry of the more-than-human world. From the intricacy of a caterpillar to the vibrancy of a blue fungus to even the lichen and moss covered stump of a tree – love is written in cells and biological processes. Today, you are invited to look closely enough at the world around us that you too find where the love is – and in turn where God’s church that isn’t constrained exclusively to walls or institutions resides as well.
