“Where are the goats?”
This is a common question at Walter Scott when folks come to visit, because seeing the goats is part of the fun! We now can answer the question with more ease thanks to a large pet GPS tracker. As they continue to munch on the invasive underbrush and forge their own paths back on the grounds, we now can locate them instantaneously as well as see a heat map of where they have been the past 24 hours. Using technology as our partner, we are also saving staff time (that was once dedicated to searching for the goats at least once a day to check in on them) so we can now go directly to their current location. With the invasive underbrush continuing to thin, we are excited for the biodiversity we are already seeing returning and flourishing.
