Have you ever wanted to spend a summer at camp? Here’s a great opportunity to do just that, working in a friendly place that changes lives and encourages faith!
Located at 15290 E. 300th Ave., Dieterich, IL 62424, we at Walter Scott are seeking our summer cook! Our cook will be in charge of meal prep and post-meal cleaning for our youth and intergenerational summer camps that run from June 11 – July 8 (Saturday and Sundays off, meal times somewhat negotiable). While we don’t know exact numbers yet, expect to be making meals for groups of 20-50 people in combination with a kitchen volunteer (or two!). You’ll report to our Resident Minister and Caretaker (he holds a valid ANSI Food Safety Manager Certificate).
NOTE: If you think you don’t qualify because of scheduling conflicts, have questions about the compensation or qualifications, or anything else – we encourage you to contact us rather than dismissing this opportunity (we’re happy to be flexible!)
- Holding at least a valid ANSI Illinois Food Handlers Safety Certificate by June 11
- 18 years or over
- Possessing the ability to pass a background check
- Pay of $15/hour
- If you do not live in the general Effingham area, room and board at the camp!
If you know of someone you think might be interested, we encourage you to share this posting with them!
Resumes, questions, and other inquiries can be submitted to Clayton Summers at [email protected]. Additionally, you can call or text (501) 570-6685.
